Welcome

Since 2012, TBPSB has been engaged in giving high quality early childhood education at a very affordable cost to parents. We’ve been bringing buzz to the curriculum and have quickly become a hot spot of early learning teaching excellence. It’s our constant endeavour to always give the best teaching methods and curriculum to our children and this quest has made us embrace more diverse teaching methods and curricula. Our school has been ranked as the best school in South Bangalore by The Education World Magazine (Business World and Business India Magazine group) 2019 survey for the third time in a row.
Welcome Note

It is my pleasure to welcome you to The British Preparatory School of Bangalore (TBPSB). TBPSB is one of the top preschools in the city of Bangalore. Started in 2012, we soon became the hot spot for early learning teaching methods in the southern part of Bangalore city. At TBPSB, we want children to enjoy childhood for as long as possible, but we also want them to develop and progress within a stimulating environment that offers many opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Our mission is to know each of our students, which we do that incredibly well and with great joy. Kids are happiest and learn best when they build strong relationships with their teachers and classmates. Children pick up these skills when they work together in small groups, focused on language, activities, and by taking turns. At TBPSB, we ensure that classroom space is vibrant and positive for fostering learning. We believe the children lead the way and take initiative in what they like to do.

Child's aptitude levels continue to rise. To keep pace, at TBPSB, children are provided with an excellent start to their education. Effective teaching and learning strategies are well embedded and all children learn to work both independently and collectively in a fully inclusive learning environment. Teachers work coherently together with a clear understanding of the day’s duties and that children should be provided with the best possible education. The combination of Waldorf and EYFS curriculum methods ensure that child’s cognitive skills, observational skills, creative skills, communication skills, social skills, critical thinking, visual and auditory exercises – all of these together come into play while participating in the day’s activities. Children feel encouraged and excited by their new awareness regarding language, science, math, art, music and every other subject they are studying. This is a curriculum that brings up, brings out, and brings forth. Hence our children love to come to school regularly.

And the unmistaken White-Noise – have you ever paused at our school gate and took a few minutes to listen to the white noise of our school? It’s a constant hum of laughing, crying, shouting, teaching, and learning – the euphonious lyrical mixture of sound and success created by the children at the school. For me, it is the most beautiful sound and I miss this buzz on Sundays and during the school holidays. Teaching is the noblest, honourable and important profession that we have in society, and quality teachers are as close to true and living superheroes that we have in our world. Committed educators are change agents…they are sculptors…they are artists…they are mentors…they are role models, and they are oftentimes unappreciated. No professional works harder than a committed educator in my opinion, with the sole focus and responsibility of moulding their students into good learners with creative minds, to be compassionate and possess critical thinking skills.

We believe that real-life experiences for a child begin in a preschool and we place a lot of emphasis on giving children the benefits of experiential learning. This coupled with thoughtfully prepared learning aids and learning centres helps in giving full-fledged experiential learning under the watchful and committed teachers. Children are naturally inquisitive, active learners who teach themselves from the explorations they do in their surroundings. We also ensure the play-based learning happens in a safe, secure and clean environment which will help.

We are all positive about the autonomy and independence that comes with our school now being a Waldorf inspired and also being a part of EYFS, UK fraternity. The combination of autonomy and collaboration across acclaimed curricula brings in great synergic benefits and best practices. This is why we are different and so special. We would like ourselves to be described as purposeful, ambitious, forward-thinking and, most importantly, kind. Lastly, documentation is a critical component of communication with parents. Teachers, in addition to their teaching duties, are also responsible for documenting the learning process within the classroom and transcribing the verbal language used by children. We build dossiers and maintain a portfolio file for each student to record the child’s progress on a fortnightly basis. Parental participation in their child’s education is a critical component in a child’s learning progress. We ensure parents are participating and involved actively in their child’s learning experiences.

At TBPSB, we want children to enjoy childhood for as long as possible, but we also want them to develop and progress within a stimulating environment that offers many opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Our over-arching principles ensure we continuously adhere to this philosophy. We are a school who understand the world is ever-changing and we want our children to be resilient and adaptable. And also we want our children to be happy, as happy children flourish, reach their full potential and carry a love of learning with them for the rest of their lives.
